Love it Clean is our contribution to making not only homes a cleaner place – but also the environment.
Addressing industrial and consumer waste is one of the most important environmental issues. Our oceans, agriculture and quality of life ultimately depend on how the world addresses the human impact on earth. We acknowledge that waste in the environment is a global issue that requires action from brands all across the world. As a manufacturer of world-renowned cleaning brands we have a responsibility to make our products more environmentally friendly.
We will continue to do our contribution to make the earth a cleaner place, and to provide products that reduce our environmental footprint. All along the life cycle of our products – from raw material sourcing to waste and recycling. From the very first sketches at the drawing board, we consider environmental criteria as key measures of our innovation success – while always striving to maintain or improve our excellent product performance.
We focus on three main areas where we believe we can make the biggest difference – by creating product that last, by giving materials a second chance and designing out waste.
Using recycled material saves waste. But what about future products? For plastic to reenter the circular economy after it has been used, it needs to be separated, broken down and recycled. The purer the plastic, the better it is for the recycling process. That is why we make our plastic packaging out of 100 percent recyclable Polypropylene / Polyethylene packaging.
For about XX percent of products we use cardboard packaging. Depending on the product in between 75 and 100 percent of all cardboard is recycled. For corrugate packaging we use material out of up to 100 percent recycled cellulose.
Our products get better with age. That’s because every time you reuse them you’re keeping one less product out of the waste system. We not only encourage our customers to keep and reuse their Vileda products, we design them to last that way.
